National Screening Bureau respects your privacy and understands the importance of keeping your personal information
confidential and secure.
We hold our privacy practices to a high standard to ensure that any information, whether it is from a current customer
or from someone simply browsing our website, is kept private and secure.
Information Collection
No personal information is collected as you browse through the pages of NATSB.com. You remain anonymous as you browse. Although National Screening Bureau will collect such logging information as what pages were viewed and what browser was used, to help build and update the website, no personal data relating to the individual browsing the site is collected.
Once you have registered with National Screening Bureau to access any or all of our online offerings, we only collect personal information required to obtain the reports you order. We treat personal information securely and confidentially. We limit access to your personal information to only those persons who must have the information to provide our products or services to our customers. We meet strict physical, electronic, and procedural security standards to protect your personal information and adhere to rigid internal procedures to maintain the safety of that information.
Security Measures
National Screening Bureau utilizes the latest in technology to keep your applicants information safe and secure. We utilize a world class, multi-million dollar data center to house our secure website.
Some of the safe guards we have in place:
Applicant's data is protected with at least 128-bit encryption when in transit over the Internet.
Applicants data is rarely printed out by National Screening Bureau, if printed any hard copies
must be shredded when no longer needed.
Passwords are not to be written down and left in insecure places.
Servers storing data is physically separate from the web servers.
The servers storing data must not be available for, or exploitable by, any TCP services directly from the Internet and
should not be referenced in externally available DNS tables.
All servers must have all published network operating system patches applied in a timeframe commensurate with the risk.
Our system has audit trails and detailed reports that allow early detection of fraudulent access and/or suspicious activity.
Our application has a timeout feature so that the end user must re-authenticate after an extended period of inactivity.
End users are given information that explains their responsibility for protecting their passwords and for protecting confidential
data that may be on their workstations.
Wherever possible, we implement measures to reduce the risk of a returned background report being used fraudulently. For
example, social security numbers and/or account numbers would not be displayed if that information is not needed by the end user.
National Screening Bureau recognizes the importance of security with regard to all personally identifiable information collected
through the screening process and will take steps to protect against the loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration of that information.
We exercise extreme care in providing secure transmission of your information from your PC to our servers.
We strictly limit access to your personally identifiable information to those employees who need such access to carry out their job
responsibilities. All National Screening Bureau employees are prohibited from "browsing" through our files and databases.
We train our employees in the strict application of our demanding need-to-know standard.
We periodically audit for 100% compliance with this standard and impose severe penalties for any failure to comply.
